Avoid Too Much Industry Talk

Since starting my own business, I have worked with a lot of different industry professionals, and there have been times that they have said to me that their customer doesn’t always understand what they are promoting because they use WAY too much technical language.

There is a fine line between proving you are an expert and confusing your audience…

When promoting your product online or in person, ensure you are thinking about your customers pain points. Expert language just confuses a customer and quickly scares them away as the don’t understand what your product or service is.

The best advice I can give is to ask someone outside of your industry, if what you’re saying or posting makes sense!
