You may have heard the news that the St Albans Businesses website is getting a revamp!
Well you will have heard correctly then!
The brand, shiny new website will be launching at the end of March and it’s looking fantastico!
We are very, very excited about it and what it will bring to businesses and customers in St Albans.
So what’s so good about it?
Firstly, you will be able to find SAB members quickly and easily. Either by typing in their name, their business name, or simply what kind of business you are looking for, i.e. IT, Digital Marketing, Accountants etc
Plus, you will be able to see business categories featuring all the SABs quickly and simply!
And, we will have a search bar on the website so you can search the whole site for topics that you are interested in – yay!
Once you find your St Albans Business – you will get more detailed information about them and their business, be able to connect with them via their website, phone, email, social media etc. and also see links to the blogs, posts, tips, news that they’ve shared on the site. We want visitors to the St Albans Businesses website to get to know the people behind the business too and to get a good idea of what it is that they offer.
The other great thing about the new site is that it will be a central resource for all things business in St Albans. A go-to site for tips, business events, inspiring business stories, offer, jobs AND der, der, der, we will be featuring a “Shop Window” for our SAB members!
The SAB “Shop Window” will enable members to feature their products which visitors to the site can then click on to take them to that SAB members actual website. Customers can then make their purchase direct with that SAB member and also browse that member’s other products. Members will be able to change their images, sentence and links whenever they want to 🙂 We want to provide a central place for all the fab products available to us in St Albans – so whether it’s a Mothers’ Day present, homeware, clothing etc. we can see what St Albans has to offer at our fingertips 🙂
We will be inviting our members to share their expertise – so that when visitors come to the SAB website they can see, at a glance, “John from Joe Bloggs’s Top Tips on Social Media”, “Dave from Dave Bloggs stationers offer on paper that week”, “Why Pam from Pam Blogg started her own business” – being able to pick and choose and find all this valuable information quickly and easily!
Our members are also invited to submit their videos to be part of the SAB YouTube Channel which is organically growing, plus they join our twitter list where we can RT and share social media activity that is beneficial to our visitors and “followers”.
All in all, the new St Albans Businesses website will continue on from why it was started in the first place – providing a platform for businesses in St Albans to work together, support each other and help each other to run successful and profitable businesses in this amazing city! Hurrah! Let’s do this!
