Three Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce members are celebrating after picking up an accolade at an established regional business awards ceremony.

Furniture supplier JPA Workspaces, regulatory consultancy DLRC and security provider Silent Sentinel are amongst the named winners in the East of England heats of the British Chambers of Commerce Business Awards 2021.

Founded in 2004, the BCC annual awards recognise and celebrate businesses across the UK that play a key role in driving the country’s economy.

The triumphant Hertfordshire businesses will now go forward to compete in the national awards, with the winners being announced virtually on Thursday, December 9, 2021.

Briege Leahy, Chief Executive at Herts Chamber said: “Herts Chamber would like to offer many congratulations to these members in being recognised for their achievements.

“It has been a difficult two years, with many businesses having to make compromises in order to keep their heads above water so to have three winning companies within Hertfordshire is fantastic.”

She added: “Local businesses, large and small, are at the heart of the growth of our county and these awards are an opportunity to recognise business leaders’ hard work, innovation and contribution to Hertfordshire.”

Ruby McGregor-Smith, President of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) said: “Every single business in the UK deserves recognition for surviving the last 18 months of the pandemic.

“They have endured some of the toughest economic conditions the UK has ever experienced and it is a testament to their drive, determination and innovation that they have made it through.”

She added: “The Chamber Business Awards are the perfect opportunity to celebrate our business community’s achievements and to shine a light on the work of UK businesses that have produced outstanding results in such trying times.

“Our judging teams across the country are consistently impressed by the number of high calibre entrants in the awards, and this year’s competitors should rightly inspire others to follow in their footsteps.”

Established in 1924, the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce is a privately-run membership organisation which can open doors for local businesses and organisations of all types and size by helping them to grow their profile and connect with other businesses locally, nationally and globally.
