What a fantastic night!
In the gorgeously lit marquee at the Mercure Noke Hotel, St Albans, we strolled down the red carpet, glass of fizz in one hand, hubby’s hand in the other as I can’t walk in heels, to take our seats at table 21 (my age!).
Paul Rosenthal of Amthal Security hosted the evening alongside Chamber President, Alastair Woodgate, who hubby thought was the mayor (I think it was the elaborate chains – lol) and the evening started with a fun video about chamber members.
Dinner was delicious and I have to say a big thanks to Lisa Bates-Wallis for accommodating my very strange food requests, and the fact that I only remembered that hubby was a vegetarian pretty much the night before! (It is very recent vegetarianism!)
Our Finance Director, Dawn, and her hubby, Mark joined us and the fabulous David Jenkins of PQA and Woo Hoo fame, along with his gorgeous fiancé, Joanna. And we were delighted to be joined by Ann Ross and her lovely hubby, Steve. Ann is truly amazing with the work she does at ADD-Vance and we cannot wait to hear how she gets on when she gets her British Empire Medal on Thursday! How amazing is that!!!!
The Award Ceremony itself started after coffee and choccies and the VT’s were great fun. It is truly incredible what businesses and people achieve in this fantastic city.
There were lots of TBC peeps amongst the nominees, Cheryl Luzet at Wagada was up for Business Leader and won the category of Business Growth – congratulations!
David Jenkins of PQA was also up for Business Leader
The Businesses Community St Albans were also up for Business Leader of the Year Award!
Catherine Batour for New Business Of The Year
Rebecca Johnson of St Villa for Best Restaurant
Our very own Suzy Moody of Home Start for Corporate Social Responsibility
and the fabulous Christo Tofalli of Ye Olde Fighting Cocks for Community Champion
The evening ended with some singing, dancing, red wine drinking and making it to the luxury A Team van chauffeured by the lovely Matthew Jackson-Hale
Top night – Congratulations everyone!
