Susan Heaton-Wright raises funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK for the #capttom100 challenge

On Saturday I was at a conference for Public Speaking. One of the speakers was Bryony Thomas, who shared a truly moving, inspirational story about her life. At 41 she was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer; she is an award winning business owner, loving wife and mother. 18 months later she is still here.

Her story motivated me to do something to honour her as a human being. When we speak and communicate, one of the ways we can really engage with others and share memorable content is to ‘touch’ people’s emotions. And this was something Bryony did to me. Have you listened or watched people sharing their stories, and been motivated to do something?

Given that this weekend there is a Captain Tom challenge: do 100 things, I have challenged myself to sew 100 fabric flowers and leaves to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK. The flowers will be made into a Spring Wreath to sell for charity. I would be so grateful if you could support this charity; by donating a small amount.

You can donate here.
