What a great month July has been! On 1st July, I attended the Shining Stars awards event, hosted by Debbie Gilbert from Mums Unltd Networking, where I won the Shining Star of the Year award.
The Shining Stars awards are designed to recognise outstanding Mumpreneurs who deliver excellent business results whilst balancing their family needs. The awards were created by Mums UnLtd, a national business networking company that supports Mums to run successful businesses by providing advice, support and business opportunities.
Key criteria for winners included clearly demonstrating their business knowledge, experience, creativity, commitment to customer care and strong evidence of business achievements. The Shining Star Awards were presented by the independent judges: Sharon Gaffney and Hela Wozniak Kay. The judges said “The talent this year was exceptional. We were blown away by the tenacity and dedication of all the winners who have had a very difficult and challenging year.”
My business, Lou Murphy Styles was chosen by the judges to receive the Shining Star of the Year. They said “Louise takes customer services seriously and this shows in the testimonials which enthused about this fantastic business. She is a great networker and supporter of other businesses and someone who is ingrained in both the business and local community, a true shining star in every sense. Well done Louise!”
I’m completely amazed to receive this recognition and, for once, almost speechless! I am extremely grateful to everyone who has supported me and helped my business to grow and prosper, despite the pandemic challenges. Congratulations to all the other very worthy award winners too!
