Rothamsted Conference Centre has become the newest accredited member of independent venue consortium Venues of Excellence (VofE).

Rothamsted Conference Centre, part of the world-renowned Rothamsted Research institute, has been awarded VofE accreditation in recognition of its high-quality facilities and excellent customer service.

Assessors particularly praised the site’s charitable status, which sees all profits made by Rothamsted Conference Centre put back into agricultural research at Rothamsted Research, as well as the venue’s modern amenities, its proximity to London, and the variety of food offered at events.

Nicole Sadd, CEO at Rothamsted Enterprises, said: “We’re thrilled to have been awarded Venues of Excellence accreditation in recognition of our conference centre here at Rothamsted Enterprises.

“We’ve made some big changes over the last 12 months, including a major rebrand, a new website and refreshed conference and events menus. This accreditation proves testimony to the hard work of the team here, and to our ongoing commitment to excellence in everything we do.”

Located in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, Rothamsted Conference Centre’s events facilities include a 300-seat Auditorium and the Fowden Conference Hall, capable of holding up to 250 people. The site is less than half an hour by train from London St Pancras, just 10 minutes from Luton Airport, and an hour from Heathrow.

Mandy Jennings, executive director at Venues of Excellence, said: “We’re pleased to welcome Rothamsted Conference Centre to our growing list of accredited members. We were impressed by the venue’s high-quality facilities, its great location and its charitable ethos, too, which sees all profits channelled back into the vital research conducted at the site.”

Venues of Excellence awards membership to high quality conference, meetings and training venues throughout the UK. In return, members can access a range of services including sales and marketing support, discounted access to specialist industry training from the Learning and Development Academy, 12 member events, an annual conference and promotion at industry exhibitions.
