When you join TBC we immediately promote your business to our wide audiences via your profile on the TBC website Plus, tag us on social media and we will share your posts, tweets, etc That's incredible exposure for your business straightaway and ongoing. But that's not all you can do! Get Out There members can showcase their businesses, events, products and services on the TBC website - which we then promote for you. It's fantastic marketing and it's great for someone else to be showcasing your business for you, right?! So to get even more exposure for your business, get stuck in with adding information about your business - via news, products and services, top tips, events etc. AND, if this is not your bag, and you'd like it done for you - check out our upload service - you simply send us content and images and we do the rest for you. Or if you'd like it all done for you, we can write articles and showcase your business as part of our writing services  
Of course! We understand that not everyone knows the back end of a website, gets social media or has the inclination to get stuck into marketing. We know that business owners need to be focused on what their business is doing, and not have to get bogged down with all the stuff they aren't good at, or don't want to be good at. That's why we offer an upload service, so that you can simply send us the content and images you want featured. Or if you'd like us to write about your business and what you offer - it's always great to get an outside view on your business - you will be surprised at how much this helps. When you become a TBC member, we immediately showcase your business to a ready-made, active and engaged audience of thousands! We do this by showcasing your business profile on our website with our instagram, twitter and facebook audiences. But that's not all - tag us on social media and we will share your posts, tweets etc with our audiences - which is amazing on-going marketing as well! And that's just for starters! As a TBC Get Out There member, you can feature your products and services in the TBC shop (which we promote for you) You can add your events to the TBC calendar (which we promote for you) You can feature your news and anything about your business that you want promoted on the TBC website (and we promote that for you) You can share your tips and expertise on the TBC website, which really helps people to get to know you and what your business offers (and we promote that for you) You can feature your business story on the TBC website - everyone loves getting to know the people behind the businesses (and we promote that for you) Or if you would like us to do it all for you, we offer upload and writing services to help you! Ooh, plus you get all the TBC Masterclasses as part of your membership! We've got fantastic online learning workshops to help with all aspects of business such as instagram for business, google my business, live streaming and LinkedIn for business. And, you become part of a fantastic team - all looking out for each other, helping and supporting each other!  
The first thing to do is to feature your business on the TBC website.
 
By doing this, not only will people be able to find your business, and TBC members will look to work with other TBC members, but WE will also put your business in front of people who we see asking for services such as yours.
 
So make sure your business profile looks amazing, and that you tag your business with relevant keywords under which you want to be found! Lots of our members find that they have a higher ranking on google via our website than they do their own!
 
Once you've done that - let us know and we will then put your business out there via our social media platforms for people to "Meet a TBC Member!"
 
So your business will get immediate exposure as soon as you join the TBC Team!
 
As a TBC member we will also share your tweets, and if you tell us what you are up to we will share your news and you can also feature in the weekly Friday Facebook Live News.
 
And, if you are a "Get Out There" member, you can upload your news, events, products and services in the TBC shop, your top tips and have a fantastic presence on the TBC website, all with links back to your site (which helps with SEO), all of which we will share via our social media platforms for you too! Result! Building the whole know, like and trust! We've got tons of useful videos on how to get your business out there via TBC TV.
 
You can also say hello in person! Even if you only pop into a Jelly for an hour, it's lovely for other members to meet the 'real' person behind the business. If you're nervous about coming to a Jelly, let us know and we'll make sure there's a friendly face to meet you.
 
Take advantage of our extra services if time is an issue. We have a team here to help with social media, website uploads and all things membership if you need us.

No. We're a community, not a referral generating scheme. That said, lots of our members do refer business to each other because they've come to know, like & trust what each other do. That is totally up to them.  
It's up to you! We would love to see you at a Jelly, a social, a fundraiser or celebration event (or whatever else we're up to).
 
If those timings don't work, it isn't your thing or you prefer to be more active on social media - that's absolutely fine.
No. The beauty of TBC membership is that you can be as active or inactive as you like.
Whether you are on social media or not, we will present your business to potential clients.
We are very active on social media - with instagram, twitter, and facebook groups (St Albans Businesses and our TBC St Albans Members Only group) and pages - so you get to benefit from the audiences that we've built.
Being active on social media helps other people know what you do and how you can help.
Not all businesses are active on social media - for some it's not appropriate, others only use one platform because that's where their target market is.
You're welcome at TBC whether you're an active social media user or not.

As well as being a wibbly wobbly dessert, a Jelly is an event where local businesses come together to co-work in one place. It started in New York, we didn't think of the name.

TBC Members Only Facebook Group

A place for TBC members to work together, share members exclusives, be the "first to know", where you can test ideas, ask questions, give TBC members first dibs on events etc. and get support to grow your St Albans Business. Once you become a TBC member, we send you an invite to the members only group.
 

St Albans Businesses Facebook Group

This group is a public group where you can chat all things business. It's also a place where TBC members can promote their businesses, and where we also promote our members - putting your business in front of a large, ready-made, active and engaged audience. Result!  
Our Facebook page is where we show the world what we're up to. It's one of the platforms we use to share what's going on in all the Business Communities and find out really important (usually lighthearted) things about our followers.
 
St Albans Businesses is a business community in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
 
Anyone who has a business in St Albans, an outlet or base in St Albans or works predominantly in St Albans is welcome.
 
There are other Business Communities in surrounding towns in Hertfordshire and with more building all the time.
