Supply Chain Summit

February 11 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

£35

This is the fifth event in a series of new online Summits that Herts Chamber have created, designed to focus on key industries within Hertfordshire and provide a platform for sharing information, ideas and latest thinking.

Supply Chains are critical to the success of an organisation and both manufacturing and service industries are heavily reliant on their supply chains to ensure their businesses function smoothly and remain profitable.

To secure your place at this prestigious new event, please book using the button below the description.

At this Summit we will hear two keynote presentations from our partners for the event, for whom supply chains play a vital role:

Mike Butler, Senior Project Manager, Inland Homes

Cheshunt Lakeside: Inland Homes Flagship Development and opportunities for local suppliers

In 2019, Inland Homes secured outline planning permission for Cheshunt Lakeside: a new residential- led development on the site of the former Tesco Headquarters. It will comprise 1,725 apartments, 19,000m2 of commercial space and a £14m package of contributions to the local community (via the scheme’s Section 106 agreement).

This presentation will provide an overview of the Cheshunt Lakeside scheme and the opportunities available to local businesses to be involved in the supply chain for the first phase of construction, due to commence Autumn 2020.

Mike is responsible for delivery of the Cheshunt Lakeside development. Mike’s 20 year career in the residential construction sector has included senior operational management roles on a range of multi-phased residential, mixed-use and urban regeneration schemes across the south-east region.

Cherie Norris, Enterprise Zone Manager, Herts IQ

Hertfordshire Innovation Quarter – The County’s Enterprise Zone

Hertfordshire IQ is leading the development of 3 million sqft of new commercial space over 10 years in Hemel Hempstead, alongside the creation of 11,000 new homes in Hemel Garden Communities. Not only will this ambitious and game changing development transform the area and create 10,000 new jobs, it will also provide space for Hertfordshire growth companies in the construction supply chain to cluster around market leaders and built environment experts BRE Group.

Cherie is the project lead for Hertfordshire Innovation Quarter, the county’s enterprise zone. She is focused on working with partners to secure investment and deliver infrastructure which will unlock strategically located development sites, with the potential to deliver thousands of new jobs to the area.

These presentations will be followed by an interactive panel session, in which these subjects and the broader topic of Supply Chains will be discussed in more depth.

In addition to the above keynote speakers, panellists include:

  • Matt Clark, Partnership Co-Ordinator, Serco
  • Katrina Dougherty, Vice Principal Enterprise and Innovation, Hertford Regional College
  • Cllr Lewis Cocking, Leader, Broxbourne Borough Council
