The Sky’s the limit for local Hertfordshire contractors! Find out how you can participate in Sky Studios Elstree scheme at BAM’s virtual meet the buyer event.
BAM has been appointed by Legal & General, Sky and NBCUniversal to create Sky Studios Elstree, the most sustainable film and TV studio in the world. Set to open in 2022, Sky Studios Elstree will house 13 sound stages and become home to a range of film and TV productions from Sky Studios and NBCUniversal, attracting £3bn of production spend over the first five years of operation alone.
BAM has been selected for their expertise in construction large scale projects and to optimise the design for sustainability, including sourcing materials that are local and low carbon. The project will use circular economy approaches to reduce waste over the Studios’ lifetime.

Matt Clark, Commercial Manager
Matt is a driven commercial manager, with a proven track record of maximising commercial value. He has 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, including 12 years at BAM and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Building. Matt’s approach to supply chain management is to be fair and transparent, creating a cohesive and productive working environment for everyone. He is responsible for overseeing the commercial arrangements with the supply chain, providing monthly valuations and monitoring revenues and costs against forecast.
Adam Mitchell, Managing Surveyor
Adam joined BAM in 2003 and is responsible for ensuring projects remain within budget. He is a highly motivated, ambitious and conscientious person who enjoys the fulfilment of creating new buildings. Adam uses his knowledge of the local market to build relationships with the local supply chain and help us select local subcontractors. He prepares valuations and manage all the commercial elements of subcontract packages.
June Wilkinson, Education and Community Co-ordinator
June was born in Watford and has lived and worked in the local area ever since. She joined NatWest Bank after her A Levels and whilst working for them volunteered to work with a local school delivering an enterprise project. From that moment she was hooked’. June joined BAM in 2013 as an Education and Community Coordinator, working with young people and the community. At the Sky Studios, Elstree project, her role will be to deliver social value and create new jobs for local residents, partnering with Hertsmere Council’s Economic Development Officer and Job Centre Plus to create opportunities for NEETs and the unemployed.
